Our Top Summer Landscaping Tips

Even though planting season is over, maintenance continues throughout the summer. Here are a few tips from our team to ease the process a little:
- Don't over-water your plants!
Despite the hot weather, drowning a plant is just as easy as depriving it of water. If you find some leaves turning yellow and falling off, the plant is getting too much water.
- Avoid weeding in the heat!
Use a pre-emergent on your freshly mulched beds to prevent stubborn summer weeds from growing roots. This can protect your beds for at least six weeks.
- Use the fall color guide!
Get a head start and begin planning for fall annuals. Look for a high first number on fertilzer labels to boost blooms!
